Costa Rica – Rivense H3 Honey
Sweet. Vibrant. Wonderfully Complex.
From the misty mountains of Costa Rica's Brunca region comes a coffee that showcases why the country is considered a pioneer of specialty coffee. Carefully produced by the Ureña-Rojas family at Café Rivense del Chirripó, this exceptional H3 lot is honey processed to create a cup that is beautifully sweet, fruit-forward and remarkably clean.
Expect juicy notes of red grape, mixed berries and wild honey, layered with hints of dried fruit and delicate herbal tea. A syrupy body and bright grape-like acidity create an elegant, balanced cup that shines whether brewed as espresso or filter.
Roasted in small batches by CP Roasters to highlight the coffee's natural sweetness and complexity, this is a coffee to savour slowly.

About the H3 Variety
The H3 is a first-generation (F1) hybrid developed by crossing Caturra with an Ethiopian landrace. It was created to combine outstanding cup quality with improved disease resistance and productivity. In the cup, H3 is celebrated for its vibrant fruit character, clarity and layered sweetness.
Honey Processing
Costa Rica pioneered the honey process, where the coffee cherry is depulped but much of the sticky, sugar-rich mucilage is intentionally left on the bean during drying. As the coffee dries on raised beds, these natural sugars contribute to a richer body, enhanced sweetness and greater complexity while preserving the clean character for which Costa Rican coffees are famous.
